We’ve owned Chumani – an 11 year old Appaloosa mule since 2018. When we got her, she was not rideable and had a lot of emotional issues. We tried other trainers and then we met Mr. Dave Cody Villalonga in 2022. Cody is a real cowboy type of trainer – full of energy and a responsible attitude. He is brave and kind-hearted. He knew how to whisper to our mule and challenge her to do something she had never tried before. Cody started to train mules at an earlier age.He started to train Chumani from July to Oct 2022. Within 3 and a half months of training, he broke Chumani. Chumani had changed dramatically. Now, she can walk, trot, canter and trail ride. I’m a senior rider. I have been riding her in an arena at Stoney Point Ranch now for about a half of year. We feel grateful we had Cody for training Chumani. Without his help, we could never make Chumani rideable for sure.
